This was on the top 10 things to do in Athens list so we figured we'd check it out. It was a sandal store where the man who owned it was a famous poet also. The shoes you bought were fitted to your feet and made for you while you waited.

This place was so huge but it was absolutely deserted! There was grass growing through all the sidewalks! Someone told us that Athens didn't have a need for a site that big so it just became deserted.
